The quality of digital audio formats or vido formats is very important, and everyone likes the best sound quality music. But we have to face the reality of Format conversion when we have to do so. This kind of problems trouble me especially when I make a video. For example, flv to mov ( http://www.league-soft.com/how-to/convert-flv-to-mov-mac.html ) , flv to avi, and so on.

Monty's article on "Why 24/192 Music Downloads Make No Sense" should be a must-read for any audiophile. His argument against excessive sampling rate is really just an extension of a concept that most engineers know very well -- the notion that a system should never have more bandwidth than it truly needs, or bad things may happen. Somewhat less obvious but equally true is his argument for why the noise floor at 16 bits is already below what any of us can hear.

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems.
