I couldn't be there so, it was awesome to be able to see and hear Thomas' keynote speech and performance while learning that he himself is responsible in no small way for the technology that delivered his music and imagery to my computer.
The question is... if you knew the result beforehand, would you decide not to build the technology? In the case of Dolby's company bringing in the big guys of the music industry with Rich Media Format I see a phenomenon in which the action results backfire. Perhaps technology development has a little bit of nature and untamed side, sometimes hurting the master's hand. Don't you think?
