This sounds like something that would potentially have multiple additional uses. Is this module available for sale now or is it a prototype?

150Farads 14 volts capacitor size of a DVD case a real super capacitor with good ESR. Apart form the above mentioned usage the super capacitor can be effectively used while charging the batteries so the charging current will have minimum ripple current for effective charging.
