If the Catena is expert in wireless and entertainment business, how can it contribute in engine emission control or some other non-infotainment area?

There would be some executing wireless automotive application to work.

After closing of the deal, Catena will continue to operate as a standalone company, wholly owned by NXP. This setup will allow the Catena team to continue to serve third parties, outside of NXP, as they have successfully done in the past.

But once NXP acquire Catena, they will stop servicing /selling IP to other clients. So no conflict of interest!
