The world is going to be connected. Broadcom, Qualcomm started from connectivity, moving into CPU area. Intel is moving into Wireless and Ethernet space. It is a good move to microchip to acquire connectivity technology. The question is how the management team makes the equation 1+1 greater than 2. What would be best for Microchip to start with?

Seems like a good opportunity for MicroChip to extend the technology to more than just the handset market. It may not be too far away for virtually every MCU can connect wirelessly to every other MCU. Guess Skynet really is just around the corner...
