I wonder what is our retina's limit to perceive contrast.

Yes it is truly said even though the display is not confirming the standards at present, it can be surely used in environments where power consumptions comes in mission critical factor. It might take time to be used in graphics oriented devices but in industrial environment it can surely be adopted.

Not sure why they haven't yet built prototype to prove their claims. Its better to build prototype to test the claims rather than just hype about it.

Quite an interesting claim but they still have problems with the implementation.

Interesting - I would have preferred they just do it. You do not win this game by talking . Show me the gizmo and we will make the call.

Not convinced enough with the claims. Also the drawbacks are not small to be ignored. The price and the battery life in different modes can give a better picture of the claims.

Some interesting claims here, but why isn't comparison price listed? Without that, it is difficult (read pretty much impossible) to make any valid comparison or decision if you are a design engineer.

Looks like more vapor ware to this grizzled veteran. As Jerry Maguire almost surely would have said "SHOW ME" the (display)!

To extend the time of use per charge, tablet vendors would welcome a better power saving display technology. Yet, consumers are demanding high quality display, e.g. iPad retina display. In addition, if users are using their tablet device primarily on watching video, a better display will serve the purpose better. On the contrary, if I am reading online content or ebook most of the time, I will demand a power saving tablet. What would you choose between power saving and better display?
