Yes it is truly said even though the display is not confirming the standards at present, it can be surely used in environments where power consumptions comes in mission critical factor. It might take time to be used in graphics oriented devices but in industrial environment it can surely be adopted.
To extend the time of use per charge, tablet vendors would welcome a better power saving display technology. Yet, consumers are demanding high quality display, e.g. iPad retina display. In addition, if users are using their tablet device primarily on watching video, a better display will serve the purpose better.
