I second Brian's comment. It's good to see your name on an EE Times article again, Mike. To show how mainstream ESL and Virtual Prototyping has become, it would be good to also mention Synopsys and the work their doing. Collaboration between Synopsys and Altera resulted in a Virtual Target for customers leveraging Altera's SoC FPGAs, giving customers full-system visibility and control while enabling them to jumpstart software development.

Hi Mike -- you are right in every respect -- I recall going to DAC year after year and hearing Gary singing the "ESL Song" ("in four-part harmony and stuff like that")... and as the years went by people started to grin when Gary said his piece ... but look at us now! It's not that ESL hasn't been poking its head up here and there giving a cheery "Hello" ... it's more that now ESL is everywhere you look...
