Is this technology commercially available or is it just in R&D phase ? If Nanosolar is providing the lowest-cost thin-film solar panels then why is US relying on China for low-cost solar panels ?

Well, with the likes of Mohr Davidow Ventures, I have to assume that some pretty well informed people are expecting a reasonable ROI in the not too distant future.
