Gregg, congrats. Be aware that Freescale is freely falling without any scaling. The problem is simply that Freescale is in a business where they need volume to make money in a commoditized sector.Greg will have to shift them to profitable areas or find ways to boost volume. Otherwise, nothing changes.
The welcomed surprise here is that Freescale has acquired a well versed seasoned leader from a significant competitor. As I worked within Gregg’s organization during my time with TI, I couldn’t be more pleased. Gregg had a hand at building TI's Medical initiative early on.
With his expertise in automotive, sales, analog, and yes – the healthcare segment, having Gregg at the helm is very welcomed here. I’m looking forward to his imprint as a result of expected and certain change. This will be fun and profitable! Let the new CEO reign in -
