I am in a project and am looking a touch screen panel(without LCD) which can work underwater (40m or more). Do you think there has any touch screen can make it? Thanks a million.

Hi Zbatt, that e-mail is valid except there is a period (.) at the end of the address. Try again without the period at the end.

Hi Terry, yes, it is possible to successfully ignore and recover from a large seawater splash. The "thin-film" water case described in the article is meant to cover this condition. I don't know of any off-the-shelf modules available though.

Hi, Question about the Marine Small-boat environment: Do you know of any successful systems or products that will ignore and recover from a significant seawater splash? Has research been done on this? I'd like to build touch-sensitive dashboard elements for small craft. (The big guys are sitting in a pilot house).. I had not really considered the effect of water on a touch screen, but your explanation did a good job of both highlighting the problem and showing the various methods available to mitigate the effect. I learned something new today. Thank you.
