$600,000 investment by Rockwell in Turkey is not a trend pointer. Festo and Siemens have donated far more to Turkish and South African universities/ technical colleges. China and Taiwan are more willing to use PCs and write custom code than go with expensive automation vendors' solutions. Take a look at a typical plastic injection moulding machine in the East. Rockwell has to look elsewhere while USA manufacturing declines and Wall Street takes over.
