Cirrus Logic actually purchased Apex Microtechnology for $42 million in 2007, and this most recent transaction is about the sale of the hybrid product line from the Apex Precision Power business unit within Cirrus Logic, creating Apex Microtechnology once again. The remaining product lines from the Apex Precision Power business unit will remain a part of Cirrus Logic.

What is missing from this article is that Cirrus paid about $60 million for Apex and sold it for $26 million...
