I would be interested in the breakdown of the touchscreen/cover glass. How does the estimate $7.50 get split between the two items: 50/50, 80/20, or something else? Although, doing a little research, and this link seems to indicate (assuming this is what Apple used) to that the touchscreen/cover glass are an integral unit: http://www.corning.com/specialtymaterials/products_capabilities/iox/ioxvsdiscrete.aspx

Not just brand but integration and finish. Some poopoo that as not valuable but using and touching an Apple product is unique and worth the price IMHO.

Wow - that is very small. Apple does enjoy hefty margin because of great brand.

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems.
