I wonder if he used a real church key to make the holes? What with all the pop-top cans these days I wonder if you can still buy a church key? If you could, how many of the younger generation would know what it was?

Yes, isn't that a similar concept behind the new IMOD (Mirasol) panels been promoted as the next panels since these do not need back panel lighting. I can't wait to see these babies on mass productions and finally been able to use my notebook outdoors by the pool.

Yes, the 'cans' look impressively like metal cans. On the subject of unexpected colors, the recently aired NOVA program "Making Stuff: Smaller" mentioned that the shape and size of (tiny) particles can influence the color. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/tech/making-stuff.html#making-stuff-smaller

Wow, quite impressive look in the piece with triangular holes. It captures with great fidelity the essence of a rusted tin can. Very niece hobby, my complements to the artist! At first look, I started to wonder what is Max upto now days, not a story about recycling !!! wide grin ;-)

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems. Signal integrity sage Ransom Stephens will explain how PAM4 differs from NRZ and what to expect in design, measurement, and signal analysis.
