Seeing this, in part, inspired me to re-watch the three LOTR movies. I have a lot of respect for companies that can be creative like this. Why not? It'll certainly make people more likely to watch the video. All of the necessary information is there. The only downside is that it seems a lot longer than a standard safety video. On the other hand, I wouldn't complain.

GREAT video, however I can't help wondering about the reactions of anyone who has not read / seen LOTR (there must be a couple around...) Would love to be sitting near one when it comes on..... Then again, if it leads said persons to read the book or see the movie.....job done!

I like it. It does keep you watching just to see what character shows up next. Well done New Zealand.

NEXT UPCOMING BROADCAST
In conjunction with unveiling of EE Times’ Silicon 60 list, journalist & Silicon 60 researcher Peter Clarke hosts a conversation on startups in the electronics industry. One of Silicon Valley's great contributions to the world has been the demonstration of how the application of entrepreneurship and venture capital to electronics and semiconductor hardware can create wealth with developments in semiconductors, displays, design automation, MEMS and across the breadth of hardware developments. But in recent years concerns have been raised that traditional venture capital has turned its back on hardware-related startups in favor of software and Internet applications and services. Panelists from incubators join Peter Clarke in debate.
