Fair point. This article is advocating the financial payback benefits of non-plug-in vehicle configurations so the grid is not involved.

I'm sorry, but I see absolutely no benefit to an electic car that plugs into a COAL based power system for power. Just because you do not see the pollution as you drive does not make your new car virtuous nor is it carbon neutral. Evidently out of sight out of mind is acceptable to the deluded. Just my opinion.
