What is needed is all the EDA venders to hunker down and agree on a basic free open source standard for a common platform for students to learn the basics. Tweak your propriatary modules to work. allow them to be downloaded with limited time and functionality for free so students to learn more specialised areas.

Hi Max, SynthWorks offers on-line VHDL training classes (Intro, Testbench/OSVVM boot-camp, or Coding for Synthesis) - it is not free like yours though. We list them on our public class schedule at: http://www.synthworks.com/public_vhdl_courses.htm Best Regards, Jim

There are some courses at: http://www.drvhdl.com I worked with Scott (the owner of the site) many years ago. I haven't taken the courses, so can't comment on how good they are.
