I was never a great fan of Roxy Music, but I did get to see them in Paris in the early 70s. The show was in some fancy hall theatre on the outskirts and rather up-market for the shows I normally attended. I was freaked out when I was shown to my seat and the usher stood there with his hand out, waiting for a tip. I'll tell you that the theatre was designed for the volume though- things rattled and the sound echoed terribly. Years later I was working on a sound distribution system and we only had two tapes for testing. There was a Peter Townshend solo album and Avalon. The one that sticks in my mind is "More than this". After the project I thought I would never want to hear anything from Avalon again or the Pete Townshend either.

##Guess which I would buy?? LOL Re Knebworth, I went year after year. Amongst many other acts I saw there were Pink Floyd, Monty Python, Devo, The Stones, 10 CC, and the last tour of Led Zepplin before the drummer died.

"Avalon" is my favourite Roxy track. But they have done lots of good stuff. You went to Knebworth Max? I'll try and remember to treat you with a bit more respect in future (but don't hold your breath :-) And finally following your link to The Jazz Age took me to Amazon who advise that they have "15 new from $9.99 2 used from $17.87" Guess which I would buy??

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling.
