The US government thinks chip making is mature industry, does not need any more R/D funding.
They do not seem to make the connection, that chip making R/D drives the entire supply chain including systems, and results in high tech jobs.
And those jobs pay down the debt with their taxes, and buy products that drive the economy out of the doldrums.
What are the engineering and design challenges in creating successful IoT devices? These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
