It is not about the utilization, but about product price. Memory is relatively cheap. I bet utilization is always nearly 100% for memory fabs.

All IC insight had to do is break down Samsung waferstart capacity into logic , NAND and DRAM. Logic is far more capital intensive compared to memory. Rick Hill explained it several times....

Interesting comparison. It would be more interesting to include market share and fab utilization numbers. Intel with greater than 15% semi market share and Samsung with less than 7% shows that having the most capacity does not translate into the most efficient utilization.

About 22 percent of global capacity is dedicated to "maure" process nodes at 90nm, 0.13-micron, and 0.18-micron. ...it should be "mature"

The ranking reflects the significance of memory to production volumes, but not necessarily revenues." How many metal layers do Intel CPU have compared to NAND and DRAM? I figure 4X A meaningless comparision
