So a company from a country with a socialist president that has open ties to company that is state-funded by a country with an ex-KGB president (where "ex" is used generously) is now doing our advanced intelligence work? Tax-payer funded, no less?

Technology breakthroughs aside, this is just too creepy for me.
I often watch in interest when I see discussions about storage technology because some of the same challenges have history in communications technology. QPSK, 8PSK, 16-QAM, etc.
Obviously there are differences but the principles of values, bits, levels and error correction are still there. Next they will discover pre-distortion...
The technology sounds intriguing but the downer is that CEO of Crocus is Bertrand Cambou - someone who single-handedly demolished semiconductor R&D at Motorola and then did n't do so well at AMD or Spansion either. IARPA had better watch out.
