Nice thought -- but I really do need to get rid of the ones that don't fit (which is 90% these days) -- rather than them sitting in my closet, someone else could be enjoying them (there are some really nice ones)

Clearly he doesn't need to get rid of shirts, he just needs a stronger closet rod to hang them on.

Is that a Griffith crack or a Griffin crack? The loud bang was probably caused by too much 'loud' in the closet. Years ago, some professor was talking about implant access to mega-computers, and he asked, "What would happen if we had the equivalent of 100 years of thought in every decision we make?" I replied, "No more Hawaiian shirts?" And yes, I was wearing one at the time.

Look up "Griffith crack length". That'll explain it. Basically, a crack can slowly creep and get longer over an indefinite period, but once it reches a critical length, it sprints all the way to breaking point.

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems.
