A great leap forward.
I've been looking at MEMS sensors for various things in the past, and found egregious omissions - for example sensors completely omitting any mention of noise!
(The part of course did not actually have none)
Starting with a common language for performance spec is a great beginning. The fact that quite a number of companies involved in the effort (notice that TI is absent!) agree to provide these metrics in their respective data sheets minimizes headaches to developers. It also makes MEMS product selection criteria more objective.
I hope MIG or MEMS vendors offer a selection tool based on common performance performance specs that are now standardized.
What are the engineering and design challenges in creating successful IoT devices? These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
