Max I just read "Decoding the Heavens"(http://www.amazon.com/Decoding-Heavens-000-Year-Old-Computer---Century-long/dp/0306818612/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1371842355&sr=8-1&keywords=Antikythera) about the strange mechanism found in the sea that seem to be an analog computer, seemingly showing that the ancient Greeks (or perhaps another culture) knew all about gears and clockwork hundreds of years before we thought it was developed.
What are the engineering and design challenges in creating successful IoT devices? These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
