Create content and social media campaigns that will appeal to an electronics enthusiast (e.g. Open Source Hardware, Beaglebone, Raspberry Pi, electronics maker) and a design engineer (e.g. embedded design). This position must ensure that campaign content is designed and delivered to be engaging for the design engineer and electronics enthusiast and showcase new innovative technology areas. The role will create content appropriate for social media campaigns and will leverage existing content from the Community. The role will also ensure that content and campaigns align with global and regional marketing plans. Primary responsibilities will also include engaging with design engineers, electronic enthusiasts and managing Google+, Twitter and social bookmarking accounts to build our social electronics community.
This position will report on a day to day basis to the Global Social Media Manager within the Global Community Marketing team. The position will work closely with the Community, PR, Technical Marketing, SEO, Regional Marketing and Video team to help create great social media campaigns and grow our social media community.
•Create daily and monthly engaging social media campaigns using multiple tools and content types (video, infographics)
•Work alongside video, PR and marketing teams to develop the content.
•Execute the day to day social media content strategy and grow the social media fan base for element14.
•Own daily account management and content syndication processes in owned element14 social network presences (e.g. Google+, Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, LinkedIn)
•Quality assurance of element14 social media account management to ensure standards and best engagement results
•Build the social media fan base by identifying and developing relationships with key influencers and community members in social networks and work alongside the community management team to develop a list of engaged influencers
•Manage risks to element14 brand in social media
•To aid internal communication and training processes within the company to skill up the workforce in terms of social media usage to support build the social community.
Skills / Experience Sought:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a self-taught electronics enthusiast.
•3+ years experience using social media for community building; knowledge of Google+, LinkedIn and twitter is a minimum.
•Experience communicating with electronic design engineers and enthusiasts online
•Knowledge of building an influencer network in social media
•Common sense knowledge on how to manage regional and linguistics differences and work across time zones and countries
•Strong ability to be a front-facing representative of element14 and moderate appropriately
•Knowledge of social media account tools such as Hootsuite and Wildfire to build campaigns
•Knowledge of social media KPIs and ability to support the global social media manager to produce monthly metric reports.
•Willingness to learn social media listening tools
