Its horrible

The "new" look is absolutely horrible. I'm looking for one of my favourites, "Max's Cool Beans", but cannot find his blog anymore.

Also, the page(s) are too clutered and full of irrelevant junk and navigation / searching for something is a pain.

Please make it the way it was - I had a direct link to Clive's blog, but now its gone. Its horrible.

The format does seem a little odd, unless you had already become acclimated to it on the EDN site.

@Karen... my immediate reaction is that if we need a guide to tell us how to use it, you've got it wrong!  That said, the guide is very good.  However it still does not point out that you need to click "POST MESSAGE" on an existing comment if you are not the first to comment and want to post a new comment rather than a reply to an existing one.  This is possibly the worst thing about the new format, it's one of the most counter-intuitive things I've ever seen.  The nice thing is, you feel an incredible sense of accomplishment once you've worked it out! :-)

@Resistion - click "THREADED VIEW" at the top first.

....Continued....And it seems when we get the small box, it loses the formatting - hence my reply above looks like a dog's breakfast!

I started each topic above on a new line - as I did this line.  This time I clicked reply as well and got a big box to type in.  It's got a mind of its own.....

@Karen...Hi Karen and thanks for listening (rare skill these days!) 1. I still feel the "comment" button below the blog shoudl do just that - let you comment (directly)... 3. "3. EE Life will be back in the top nav bar." YAY!!! 4. "4. I noticed that the rascal of a widget..." I think you've been listening to Max too much!! Thanks Karen and I think we all appreciate the amount of work that this has entailed - we do appreciate it! While I ahve your attention, another small problem. Sometimes (as now) the box to write our post is very small - about 4 words x 2 lines. I'll try and find out when it happens (think mainly on replies) and let you know.

First, I'm happy to report that the "more" button on the bottom of the EE Life widget now points to all EE Life content. Whew! And also, Martin Rowe has created a useful guide to"How to use EE Times" Please check it out if you need help navigating the site!

DrQuine, I understand your not knowing how to post a new comment to a story!  It took me quite awhile before I "discovered" how to post a new thread.  It seems to me that there could be better naming used say instead of Post Message it would read: Post new thread/comment,  or something like that.  I do like the new look and feel and hope that others do as well..

Old thread reply hierarchies deleted

Many previous threads, especially the most commented ones, had reply hierarchies which are now gone in the new format. It destroys the logical contiguity.
