The July announcement on funding is something interesting but the personnel announced as being brought on board (e.g. El-Ouazzane and Dobberpuhl) seems REALLY interesting; folks who have been very successful in the past in getting new ventures underway and in attracting corporate attention and interest. Graphics-related computation has been a major driver of innovation and exceedingly important of late for advancements in silicon processor features and the field of computational imaging may become a signficant part of why this trend continues for some time.
