Max, the superhero is the comic bears an uncanny resemblance to you. Were you the inspiration for this campaign?

Factoids make the comic

A wonderful comic - I especially like the numerical factoids which connect the fantasy with reality. I can imagine it might actually capture the imagination of a young scientist - it certainly would have caught my eye.

cute but missing so much!

That is fairly cute. I guess they had to avoid actually showing tech that they didn't have rights to or something because they could have easily shown how a normal person could become superman with existing tech.

There are exoskeletons, augmented reality, and adaptive armor that would be more impressive than "I have LEDs on my chest".

Not to mention the stuff  going on in the DIY area (in the title!) where people are mounting flame throwers to their wrists, designing jet packs, etc.

Heros

Sorry. There are only two kinds of heros. The kind you get a Subway, and the kind who save the world.  The Comicon crowd?  Not superheros, but they are fun bunch in their own way.

Am I wrong about that?

Add character values and volunteer work

@Max: That looks almost true but most often chimerical for most engineers.

Why? I learned more important facets of life - I would suggest to add character values and plethora of volunteer work for community especially for children of lesser God.

Modesty forbids me from saying, but they certainly captured my sense of casual dress :-)

I agree -- this type of "infographic" really does provide a good mechanizm to gather information and present it in an accessible manner -- especially to younger folks.

Well, the main reason they created this graphic is to highlight their own prodcuts -- from their point of view there's no point in talking about stuff they donlt sell :-)
