@DrQuine: "Not a good time for an earthquake"

Can you imagine standing there and then feeling the first motions...

Now I know why neither the North-going Zax nor the South-going Zax would step aside.

You don't say Max, but I believe this was taken at a place called Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) in Norway, which is on my list of places I'd like to go to before I die.  There's some photos here

http://www.visitnorway.com/en/Product/?pid=31157

but I have a nice PPS about it if you'd like...I believe it includes your photo or one similar, bit it's at home and I'm at work......

Thanks, Max. Frightening picture but maybe more scary for us than them....from their perspective they can't see that the bottom of the rock is only touching air. I hope readers get a chance to join us for the chat. The first two chats we've done been fun and interesting.

@Rick: Man, I find that photo hard to look at....

I know ... you could not pay me enough to get me to stand on that thing...

Or is that your suggestion for a caption? :-)

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems. Signal integrity sage Ransom Stephens will explain how PAM4 differs from NRZ and what to expect in design, measurement, and signal analysis.
