This is another opportunity to find the next big medical device.

I think the medical device which everybody has as a final goal as the utopia of med devices is the one like Star-Trek. is it called Tricorder?  One that somehow scans your body and is able to immediately identify illnesses. We'll we ever get to see that?  What would it use? X rays? among others i suppose.

Can you elaborate, how are you going to use the writeup/rendering?

Also it is disaapointing that people who are not from US/Canada cant join!

This is so great!  I will share this posting with some engineering students.  This should go out to every engineering  school in America.  Get the young minds involve...now!

Great question! We really are just looking for a sketch or other type of rendering. You don't need to get into the specfics of the inner workings of the device. We want an idea of what it might look like and something visual to help readers with the voting process. One step up from napkin sketch is perfect.

Can you elaborate on what specifically you are looking for in an entry? Circuit schematic? Block diagram? Sketch of product?  Thanks...

To say that Andy Weir's The Martian is an exploration of math, Mars, and feces is a slight simplification. I doubt that the author would have any complaints, though.

Sometimes it can feel like you're really performing in the big tent when presenting your hardware. This month's caption contest exemplifies this wonderfully.
