With regard to the caption for this photo -- one thing that comes to mind is the sound of someone screaming "Arrggghhhh!"

This may not be EE Times-related, but I tried parachuting in my youth, and that's pretty much the sound I made while I was doing it :-)

What?  After viewing that PowerPoint presentation I would never take that trip.  Looks very educational, but too dangerous for my taste.  I hope everyone can swim.

I know what you mean... for myself, I would be terified that the top of the cliff would break away ... but even a strong gust of wind could ruin your day :-)

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems.
