Rich-

We can't wait to see what you are going to launch! I'm sure it will be fantastic. Want to give us a hint or two?

Rich, as an MCU passionate, I am truly sad to see MCC gone, as it was a cool place for many of us to tell our stories, learn from each other, and get in touch with colleagues all over the World.

I sincerely appreciate the chance you gave me by inviting me to blog for MCC, and it has been a new and trully growing experience for me.

I hope to see you and all of the MCC guys here at MCU Designline.

Keep in touch!

Nico.

Martin Thanks for your kind words. I am currently sitting in Dulles International on my way for two weeks in South Africa. Thanks and I will consider your offer.

Rich,

I also want to publicly thank you for the wisdom and help over the past year as I embarked on two engineering communities.

See you again soon.

If you work on high-speed digital systems (10Gbps and up), be sure to take a look at DesignCon Community. After all, those programmable devices have to communiate with the outside world.

I had a great time at MCC too, glad to see other members here at EETimes. I hope we will continue to enjoy sharing knowledge, ideas and opinions.

Thanks MCC! Thanks Rich!

Hi all,

I thoroughly enjoyed being a MCC member and I hope the spirit is maintained. I am sure the site would find anouther sponsor or may evolve in another way within or outside EETimes.

Great job, Rich.

This may just be the beginning.

All the best.

Rgds

What are the engineering and design challenges in creating successful IoT devices? These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Are the design challenges the same as with embedded systems, but with a little developer- and IT-skills added in? What do engineers need to know? Rick Merritt talks with two experts about the tools and best options for designing IoT devices in 2016. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
