Yeah, he mentioned that he did have a few birds land on it, but it hasn't been to big of a problem.

Looks like a nicie perch for seagulls too! (I live in Boston, where these birds are plentiful and prone to perching!)

All kind of ideas springing to mind - a nice little article.  I haven't dug into the article yet but, right off the top, all kinds of ideas.

I have just started playing around with one of Cypress's PSoC development kits - would be interesting to integrate that with the aneometer. Then maybe a wireless link and why can't I get wind direction also.  And might as well throw in temperature.  OK, all kinds of ideas!  Will have to wait until tonight to tackle - got a new workbench to work on plus a few other chores that need doing.
