@David Ashton - Glad you liked Glide Path.

Done, you might have to check your junkmail folder.

Hi all!

I sent my submission to Caleb a few days ago. Is there a way someone could verify it has been received? I worry that it could wind up in some spam folder or something. Thanks!

@grover1, (& Karen & Max)

See, I told you Karen would sort you out!  (She's a very honorable person and I consider it an honor to get ribbed by her!)

I'd watch Max though, he probably diverted your check in the first place :-))

Max, I think this was Grover1's winning entry in that halloween competition...I can't find the page with the winning announcements

@David: It's not like you to be such a shrinking violet...

As soon as I saw this it made me think of that old classic (was it by Shakespeare?) that goes:

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Some poems rhymn,

But this one doesn't

Ah ... they don't write poems like this anymore...

What are the engineering and design challenges in creating successful IoT devices? These devices are usually small, resource-constrained electronics designed to sense, collect, send, and/or interpret data. Some of the devices need to be smart enough to act upon data in real time, 24/7. Are the design challenges the same as with embedded systems, but with a little developer- and IT-skills added in? What do engineers need to know? Rick Merritt talks with two experts about the tools and best options for designing IoT devices in 2016. Specifically the guests will discuss sensors, security, and lessons from IoT deployments.
