Congratulations Karen -- this is wonderful news (as is the fact that I hear we're going to have a bacon chef serving up that heavenly feast at Design West 2014).

Design West 2013 was a blast -- one of the best conferences I've attended -- so, what do you have in store for us for Design West 2014 I wonder?

Congratulations Karen.  You'd have a lot on your shoulders now.....

When Max says "as is the fact that I hear we're going to have a bacon chef serving up that heavenly feast at Design West 2014" ... I suspect you have not organised anything in this respect yet and this is just Max's way of putting you in a position where you HAVE to get a bacon chef??!! :-)

Thank you -- I am excited!  And Max is not exaggerating about the bacon and beer, we already have hired the chef!  Is bacon as popular there as it is here?

@Karen....well Bacon & Egg rolls are pretty popular here but I never heard of a bacon chef here.  You guys must be pretty passionate about it!  And of course not drinking beer is deemed "un-Australian" here....    I'm tempted to come and get a taste - but I think my bank manager will talk me out of it..  :-((

Karen,

It is always fun to see engineers branching out and succeding in other areas of engineering beyond their initial training.  I wish more engineers had this desire to learn.  Congrats, and I wish you success.
