@Bert22306: It might take a couple of weeks or so to write the software...

I'm really hoping to get some time on it this weekend ... probably while drinking numerous mugs of steaming hot coffee :-)

Re: Working copy of an ASR-33

@betajet: We will expect a working 3D printed copy of your ASR-33 within the next few weeks :-)

You joke, but funnily enough...

... one of the knobs on my ASR-33 is cracked -- the white plastic one you can use to advance the main paper roll -- I was wondering about trying to print out a new version...

It might take a couple of weeks or so to write the software, but I'm looking forward to you writing about how the 3D printer makes a cup of steaming hot coffee. I mean, the cup, as well as the coffee!!

I'm excited to see what you plan on doing with it. They're a lot of fun once you figure out how to get it to do what you want. You'll find yourself browsing thingiverse more often than you'd think. You may even start contributing your own projects! I know I have.

Working copy of an ASR-33

We will expect a working 3D printed copy of your ASR-33 within the next few weeks :-)

Or at the very least we'd like you to replace the standard ASR-33 print head with something exotic, like the Klingon character set.
