More than the threat from the hackers, I see here a potential threat from the counterfeiters who could make products which are look-alikes of the branded ( and hence fortified against security threats)  products.

Such counterfeit products could be easy target for hackers or  could have some serious bugs and performance issues.

Bluetooth security is good right?

I wonder if for wireless medical devices, would Bluetooth be fine? In regards security I think it can be very robust right? Do you have some info on this?

It seems like there are some fairly solid security standards that can be used to address most of the concerns I have heard so far. The issues always come back to the human factors. Rogue insiders, users who operate in default modes, poor password protection, etc. Securing us from ourselves or from a few 'bad actors' will always be the difficult bit...
