I have not been able to play with anything on the sheetmetal side of things. I know that it would not be difficult to model up a sheetmetal design, though I am not sure if it has the built in ability to unfold it. I will go play later this week and let you know.

We haven't used the DS Mechanical yet but as what I read from your article and what people said that it can give engineer the power to quickly design and change product concepts in 3D without having to learn complex traditional CAD software. So the results include faster. I'm in a company offering 3D rendering services I'm not yet sure if we can use the tool but definitely a GREAT tool to have.
