I think it's actually interesting if anything comes out of this experiment -- especially in terms of "the first vehicle jointly developed in a partnership with French automaker Renault SA," as Cuck wrote.
This reminded me of the old Hertz commercials, with the guy flying into the car to land in the driver's seat. It looks very cool, especially for here in sunny SoCal, but I don't see it being used back East in winter. The battery capacity is obviously way too low, given that it will drive that engine for less than an hour at 25% of peak. Did they say anything about range?
