Does anyone know how does the S-View cover for the Note 3 works?  I see that there is a two pin PCB which uses an IC, but i cant find anything on that IC.  Or any ideas what could that be?

Samsung Gear watch also uses the STM32F401 MCU from STMicroelectronics. Does anybody has a video of the teardown?

STM32F401 inside Galaxy Note3

The tear down effectively reveals the presence of ST's 32bit Microcontroller STM32F401. This IC has been recently announced publicly to the mass market too .  It seems here Samsung was able to be an early adopter of this new microcontroller ..

Samsung is clearly gunning to have mobile devcies that are even more of a premium than Apple, leveraging its internal supply oif displays and flash to make sure it also has the better margins.

I look forward to your smart watch teardown.

Damn! 3GB RAM
wilber_xbox   9/29/2013 1:24:34 PM
No smartphone needs 3GB RAM to support the current softwares. Do we want to run XBOX games on tiny piece of crap.

Surely great design wins for Qualcomm. Definitely they are competing with the likes of Intel and Samsung itself.

This looks to be very good design effort on part of Samsung, without noticing Apple. It may be very applicable for niche market and Samsung should give more effort of marketing it accordingly.

Great piece of hardware and Extensive Teardown of it

This is a very nice informative teardown of a two quad core professor device, Samsung had really put too many features in a small and lighter device, I was wondering that that Galaxy has 3GB or memory and the article speaks that it has 3Gbit of memory, does it has 8 different slices of 3Gbit or it is something different?
