I think it is really effective and useful. Food is an essential thing need for all living organisims in daily basis. It directly related to our health, so before we taking food we have to know details its composition. Fertilizers used for cultivation of food should be toxic and pesticide free. Thanks to share this. I am toatl agree with your thoughts. Orgainc foods

Not as common as plastics, but there are a few out there. The problem is that the materials available for printing are fairly limited.

Thanks! Are these machines getting commonplace or they generating curiosity?

@Caleb: I can breath-easy now... looking at the title I was getting restless as to why one would "print" food!

That aside, there may be some use cases to "fabricate" food as long as it is energy-efficient using a 3D printer.

That link is wrong! Now I'm curious!

Right now if you want to print foods you're basically using a giant syringe (think icing bag). Any paste can go through it but it has to be completely food safe all the way around.

Joseph's nozzle isn't really for printing food. It is more for printing things that should be considered food safe, like cups, bowls, and utensils. Actually it can print anything, but it does it in a food safe manner.
