The new kid didn't quite get it when we said to debug the prototype with ICE, so he's doing it with an ICEE.

Just so you know, your engineering team is just like a bunch of cats.  Some are friendly, some skittish, some complain alot, some demand alot of attention and some are just plain trouble.  The thing you have to be able to do is get them to all work towards the same goal at the same time.

The employees are in day care playing poker.  We do much better with their kids doing the real work.

OK as the lab manager you will have to talk with engineers.  How up to date are you on engineerspeak?

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems. Signal integrity sage Ransom Stephens will explain how PAM4 differs from NRZ and what to expect in design, measurement, and signal analysis.
