@Max: Correct me if I am wrong, I thought you would be excited at the prospect of 'telepathic' rats!

@Caleb: I see where you are going with that scary thought of yours! The collective intelligence of rats may one day surpass that of a 'bright' human being! Reminds me albeit tangentially of a well-known Einstein quote -I am paraphrasing here: that there are only two things that are infinite, one, the universe and the other, human stupidity. Einstein wasn't so sure about the first one!

The movie Ben comes to mind :-(

I read about some genetics researchers that had taken E-Coli that doesn't like being dehydrated and added a gene that allowed it to deal with it. Imagine if it got out of the lab!!!


You're so right about sitting back and thinking about what we should do rather than what we can do.

Not since "the incident" -- I only just got rid of the last bunch -- and it has to be said that the idea of arming them with 1W lasers probably wasn't as well thought out as it could have been (there's an experiment I won't be performing again :-)

Rat comes into discussion quite often in human context. May be biologically there is resemblance. Rat race can be heard quite often.
