May be you will be right, the time will tell the exact results, but as of now increasing sale of Tablets show that the demand of the lower Gigabyte RAM will be of more demand, mobile phones as well adds to it. But at the same time equally the PCs are also demanding more GBs in-terms of RAM but in numbers this will not be able to match the lower GBs of Tabs and Mobiles. Lets wait...

You may be right. Also remember that there is plenty of capacity to meet that demand and many will be switching from PCs which average more that a gig. Its a complicated equation!

As per the trend in the tablet market and the growing demand of tablets it seems that both The Gigabyte and Average Selling Price will increases in the coming years, as most of the entry level tabs were made with 512MB of RAM but due to advances in the OS and Gaming needs now most of the manufactures are shifting towards putting 1GB of RAM in the starting range of the tabs. This will surely increase RAM demand.

Yeah, last I talked to Micron they said no one is really building any significant capacoty now. Tight market, good margins, OEMs take a pinch.

The improvement in average selling price will definitely help the manufacturers to regain the lost momentum but definitely the PC era is not going to come back again.
