Hi Sen....great story and very well told.    Nice mods.   Only one comment:

I also really like the idea of visual feedback on the tachometer. I know some race cars have lights that show you when to shift, I would have loved that when learning!

I love it when people truly care about their stuff enough to customize it. The fact that this isn't just some add-on kit the person added to be "cool" is pretty neat.

To say that Andy Weir's The Martian is an exploration of math, Mars, and feces is a slight simplification. I doubt that the author would have any complaints, though.
