This is really exciting. Though not as refined as Google glass but this vision aid can be something useful for future applications.

I used to worry about appearing to be a crazy person talking on a phone ear bud. Now I am going to be tapping and grabbing in the air? Who is going to be the first person using this in a crowded subway, tapping keys on the back of someone else's head? Or maybe grabbing... No, I'm not even going to go there.

virtual screens are the next big thing

For us, virtual screens are the next real big technology on the consumer market. Imagine wearable electronics with virtual screens on your fingertip or virtual screen on your desk. In fact I have seen a demo in about 2005 (forgot the company) who featured a virtual keyboard and virtual screen as the next big thing. Who is working on virtual screens now?

ha ha it will be really funny that way, but this will be very good to use when ware at lonely place, no need to carry bulky and hot things in out hands, yes product designers will have to think about not to heat our brains and eyes!!

I totally agree - imagine all people on subway move around their fingers in front of them :). It's better to do it on the phone screen, it saves space, energy, and it's more private. But I do agree, such 3D virtual screen has huge application in many sectors, like medical, games, military...It looks the wearable technology will enter consumers' market starting from wrist band and smart watches instead of spy glass. You will see many of those devices, including many smart watches under $100, in this upcoming holiday shopping season.
