Any pricing?

Is there any pricing information yet?  Unless things have changed since I last looked, some of the high-end FPGAs leave potential customers passed out on the floor or doubled up laughing.

Well, current high-end Stratix parts start at about $2k each at low quantities (and can go up to $20k!), so expect pricing to start in the several thousands.

Keep in mind the intended target for these devices are not for consumer markets. Think mil, medical, aviation, comms backhaul. That's where we typically use a high end FPGA like this.

It's incredible how platforms FPGAs are evolving in the last few years!

I don't think I'll be buying one for my mom for Christmas :-)

It really is -- if you take a step back and look at things over time, it blows your mind!

Yes, I remember working on the Xilinx XC6200 15 years ago, struggling to fit a 64-bit buffer LOL

Looks an awful lot like a Bitcoin miner to me.  :-)

@Ryan and Max : I also agree. Anyhow, for Aviation applications, the new point at stake is whether such horsepower is usable with respect to safety (process below 28nm for instance). For Military applications thermal issues are also a big concern.

I bet the folks who conceived the first FPGAs would have had no idea where this technology would lead ... but I'm sure that's true of all technologies (telephone, television, computers...)
