And Invensense is just the first out of the gate--I know of other announcements coming up as vendors scramble to provide OEMs the tools they need to help Google catch up to Apple as well as offer users unique features that differentiate their implementation of Android.

Android embedded is one area I expect to see a lot of growth especially in the emerging market. This is going to be a huge opportunity for the hardware sector as people make embedded systems that can go mobile. Android is that free OS for that. Good to know that XL makers are working in that space now. I know Microchip has some of its latest MCU Android ready

Google is still playing catch-up ball with Android, but its moving fast and has one advantage over Apple--is OEMs can differentiate their offerings--giving consumers features they dont' get from the iPhone.

As data rates begin to move beyond 25 Gbps channels, new problems arise. Getting to 50 Gbps channels might not be possible with the traditional NRZ (2-level) signaling. PAM4 lets data rates double with only a small increase in channel bandwidth by sending two bits per symbol. But, it brings new measurement and analysis problems.
