I actually felt bad for the poor girl at the end. Well done!

I felt bad, too. It's a fine line between creation and destruction. I guess the goal wasn't to keep the lady out of the landfill.

Hammond Organs

Friends of mine had a Hammond organ - it had belonged to her father - and when they moved they had trouble finding a home for it.  No one wants them these days.  Eventually they gave it to an old-age home, which was great, better than getting junked.  They are things of beauty indeed.

My heart is bleeding!

I like to repair (and play!) Hammond, Farfisa, Leslie, Mellotron, Minimoog...

I really love them.

Hammond in particular are jewels. What a sound!

Today to build something like that is almost impossible: too many hours of skilled handwork. Its price would be astronomical.

Obviously, as they get older and older, there will be less and less of them around.

To dump one of them, and a working one, in the garbage is a sacrilege! :-)
