The last print copy of The Boston Globe will be delivered to my house.

There are a host of people who still say "did you see waht was in the Globe today?"

Then there are those of us who read it online the night before. My wife will often mention an article and I reply "I read is last night, but have you seen...?"

She then reads about it in print the next day.

@Henry: I might have suspected that your trip "home" had some hidden reason (besides seeing your mom...

This really did come as a great surprise -- the idea didn't strike her until the Thursday, so it wasn't till the Friday that I talked to Martin -- I flew back that Sunday and the article came out the following week.

"Ticker tape is soooo 20th century" Kind of like holing up a lit match at the end of a concert. Now we use our phones.

NEXT UPCOMING BROADCAST
In conjunction with unveiling of EE Times’ Silicon 60 list, journalist & Silicon 60 researcher Peter Clarke hosts a conversation on startups in the electronics industry. One of Silicon Valley's great contributions to the world has been the demonstration of how the application of entrepreneurship and venture capital to electronics and semiconductor hardware can create wealth with developments in semiconductors, displays, design automation, MEMS and across the breadth of hardware developments. But in recent years concerns have been raised that traditional venture capital has turned its back on hardware-related startups in favor of software and Internet applications and services. Panelists from incubators join Peter Clarke in debate.
